President’s Message from Denise Truso

Dear GBTA Arizona Members and Travel Professionals,

It is with great excitement and deep gratitude that I step into the role of President for the GBTA Arizona Chapter. As someone who has been shaped by this incredible industry and the vibrant GBTA community, I’m honored to lead a chapter with such a rich history and strong foundation.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of serving in leadership roles both at the local chapter level and on the global stage with GBTA. Most recently, I’ve served as President of the GBTA Board of Directors, and earlier in my journey, I contributed to the growth and development of other GBTA chapters. These experiences have reinforced my belief in the power of local engagement — where meaningful connections, shared knowledge, and professional growth truly come to life.

Bringing that perspective with me, I am committed to working hand-in-hand with our exceptional Board to elevate the Arizona Chapter through a focus on three key priorities:

1. Driving Membership Growth – We want to ensure our chapter continues to thrive by attracting and retaining passionate, diverse professionals across all areas of business travel. A strong membership base strengthens our voice and broadens our collective impact.

2. Delivering High-Value Education – We will continue to provide relevant, actionable content that empowers our members to navigate today’s dynamic travel landscape — from policy shifts and sustainability to supplier innovation and duty of care.

3. Creating Meaningful Networking Opportunities – We know that relationships fuel this industry. Our goal is to offer a variety of formats and events that foster connection, collaboration, and community — both in-person and virtually.

The Arizona Chapter has always been a place where members come together to learn, grow, and lead. I look forward to building on that legacy with all of you. Whether you’re a long-time member or just joining us for the first time, your voice, experience, and engagement matter.

Let’s make this a year of momentum, inclusion, and impact — together.

Warm regards,

Denise Truso

President, GBTA Arizona Chapter
